Special Economic Zones (SEZs) are areas where entrepreneurs can benefit from public support in the form of income tax exemptions. Although new permits to operate in SEZs are no longer being issued (SEZs will operate until the end of 2026), there are still opportunities to receive support within the Polish Investment Zone (PSI).
Information on the Kraków SEZ can be found on the map Kraków Special Economic Zone – Kraków Technology Park.
The SEZ covers 1,016 hectares across 39 subzones in 38 municipalities (including Kraków, Tarnów, Nowy Sącz, Bochnia, Oświęcim, Skawina).
The map update was based on data from Kraków Technology Park Ltd. and the announcement by the Prime Minister on March 16, 2020, regarding the publication of the consolidated text of the regulation by the Council of Ministers on the Kraków Special Economic Zone (Journal of Laws of 2020, item 1013).
