Circular Economy – a new map application. Posted on

The new Circular Economy – map application is a tool that supports the implementation of circular economy principles in Małopolska, particularly among the region’s residents. The map presents the locations of places and initiatives that help close product life cycles and prevent resource waste, such as fab labs, community fridges, local food markets, community gardens, and municipal selective waste collection points.

The circular economy is a modern model of socio-economic development that assumes efficient and prudent use of resources such as water, energy, raw materials, and space, while minimizing waste generation. This model aims to ensure a high quality of life while respecting the natural environment, so it can be preserved for future generations. The circular economy supports local solutions, short supply chains, the prevention of food waste, sharing and co-use of goods, longer product life cycles, repair, refurbishment, and recycling.
